Wednesday, April 28 --- 6-7:30 p.m.
in the Koret Auditorium (Lower Level, Main Library)

Over 50,000 dogs and cats were left behind in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This forced separation created American's first ever major animal rescue. This film documents the heroic efforts of the dedicated rescue volunteers and pets that they saved. A panel discussion follows the film.

This program is in connection with the exhibition, A Dog's Life (With A Special Appearance by Cats): Selections from the Schmulowitz Collection of Wit & Humor. Main. Library, Skylight Gallery, April 1 - May 31, 2010.
